If you are interested in any of our courses, please contact the service manager, Linda Norman.
Module One – Introduction to Counselling Skills and Learning about Bereavement and Loss
This first module would be suitable for anyone as an introduction; either with a view to volunteering for GBS or to transfer the skills learned to their own workplace or community.
Module Two – Certificate in Counselling and Developing Bereavement and Loss Awareness
This is a follow-on module for anyone who has completed the first module or similar (Cruse Bereavement Care, Awareness in Bereavement Care course would be suitable). This offers an introduction to humanistic theoretical models and their application. It is specifically for anyone wishing to pursue a profession in counselling and will give a thorough foundation for any potential volunteers.
Guernsey Bereavement Service would expect future volunteers to have completed both modules.
If anyone has questions (e.g. regarding course content, dates or costs) please contact Linda Norman (Service Manager). Tel: 257778 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
